Quetta: In a major boost for healthcare education and human resource development in the province, the Pakistan Poverty Alleviation Fund (PPAF), in collaboration with the Social Welfare & Human Rights Department, Government of Balochistan, and Participatory Integrated Development Society (PIDS), has announced a new batch of fully funded scholarships.
Under the Chamalang Balochistan Education Initiative (2024-2026) , this program offers a golden opportunity for students to specialize in the high-demand field of Prosthetics and Orthotics (P&O) .
Why Prosthetics and Orthotics?
This specialized medical field focuses on designing, fabricating, and fitting artificial limbs (prosthetics) and supportive devices (orthotics). With the increasing need for rehabilitation services in Pakistan, trained P&O professionals are essential. This scholarship not only offers a fully funded education but also guarantees a future career path.
Available Programs & Seats
A total of ten (10) scholarships are up for grabs, distributed across the eight divisions of Balochistan:
1. Four-Year Graduate Program (BS) in Prosthetics & Orthotics
· Seats: 06
· Eligibility: F.Sc. (Pre-Medical) with at least 60% marks.
2. Two-Year Technician Certification Course
· Seats: 04
· Eligibility: Matriculation (Science) with at least 60% marks.
What Does the Scholarship Cover?
This is a comprehensive, fully funded scholarship. Selected candidates will not have to worry about the financial burden of studying outside their hometowns, as the award covers:
· ✅ Tuition Fees
· ✅ Admission Fees
· ✅ Hostel Fees
Note: Payments will be made directly to the respective university or institution to ensure transparency.
Eligibility Criteria
To apply, candidates must meet the following requirements:
· Be a Local/Domicile holder of Balochistan.
· Hold the required educational qualification with at least 60% marks.
· Not be availing any other scholarship (an affidavit is required).
· Demonstrate financial need to pursue studies outside Balochistan.
Merit-Based Selection
Selection will be strictly based on merit. The merit calculation is simple and transparent:
· 90% weightage - F. Sc. marks
· 10% weightage - Matric marks
Important Service Obligation
Selected candidates must sign an undertaking to serve under the Government of Balochistan for a minimum of five (05) years after completing their degree or certification. This is a fantastic opportunity to give back to the community while securing stable employment.
· Warning: If a candidate intentionally discontinues the course, all expenses incurred will be recovered from the candidate.

How to Apply
Interested candidates must submit a manual application along with the following documents:
· Copy of CNIC / B-Form
· Local / Domicile Certificate
· Academic Transcripts / Certificates
· Affidavit stating non-receipt of any other scholarship
